Etsy and Google, Together at Last!

It’s finally here!  Now you can add your shop to Google Product Search (aka Google Shopping Results) with one click.  It’s still in the rollout stage, so some shops may not have access to it yet.  (Etsy Admin said in this forum post that if you already signed up for Analytics using the old system you will be in the first group to get access.  If not, they will start adding access to others soon.)  But if you do have it, here’s what you should do.  Go to your “Your Etsy” page.  Click the link on the left side navigation bar that says “Syndication”, it should be right about “Etsy Mini”.  Make sure the box next to “Google Product Search” is checked, and click “Save Changes”.  And that’s it!  You’re done!

You can also activate Google Analytics from this screen, too.  Just click the link at the top that says “Activate Etsy Web Analytics to monitor the traffic your shop receives from partner websites”.

How cool is that?!

You can download a pdf version (with better images, sorry I can’t figure out how to make them look better!) of these instructions here.

1. Go to www.google.com/base.
Click on the “Create an account now” button.
Note: Even if you have a Google account, you must sign up for a Google Base account.
